Ordered Ainol Nove 7 Fire on 1 January 2013, delivered 5 January, great service by DHL and no import duty.
Astonished at the quality of the tablet, much better than Nexus 7 or Kindle Fire and straight out of the box it fired up in English.
Once I had removed a few of the Chinese apps and installed a load of free apps from Google Plan and Amazon this tablet now seems to do everything I could have wished for. Kindle app syns straight off with a much better interface than the basicKindle I recently bought for my father.
The screen is simply stunning and the build quality is great, feels solid and looks very elegant. This is definitely the best value 7 inch tablet I have seen.

purchased online on 1 January arrived in Scotland 5 January super fast delivery from DHL and no import duties - great result.
At this price the Ainol Fire far exceeds my expectations and the build quality is absolutely amazing, it feels solid and well made much more robust than the Kindle and Nexus.
Fired up straight out of the box and once I had managed to remove a few of the Chinese apps and added a host of free apps from Goole play store and Amazon it seems to do everything you would want from a 7inch tablet.

What attracted me to the tablet was the price. Neither the Kindle Fire HD or Google Nexus 7 have both front and back cameras, nor can they accept an external SD card or a dongle. The tablet works well and I fully expect Ainol will continue to gain market share or at least force the competition to lower their prices and start including the same great features of Ainol's Novo 7 Fire. Received my device 3 days ago now. Firstly the device is polished and attractive, it's clean, with a simple black border with an unobtrusive logo, the glass is very thick, yet clear, it feels strong and well built. The back plate is brushed silver metal, molded around the 5MP camera. It's light enough to hold for a long time while watching movies, but not so light that it feels plastic and cheap, it has great construction.

The 720p screen is honestly better quality than my PC monitor, which is 1080p, the Fire has good viewing angles, great blacks and contrast, and very vibrant colours. Touch is responsive, no problems there. The device performs amazingly, beating the Nexus 7, iPad 2, Kindle Fire HD, and coming close to the ASUS Transformer Prime in benchmarks. Putting the CPU in Performance Mode it plays Contract Killer: Zombies 2, Dragon Slayer, Minecraft and Dead Trigger amazingly, the Fire is very much capable of gaming. I tested the largest video I could find, a 4Gb .MP4 in 1080p, and it played it in Normal CPU settings without the slightest lag or stutter.

The battery holds a charge great and allows for at least 9 hours of normal browsing, and at least 4 hours of heavy gaming in Performance mode. In the highest settings the tablet does heat up a little, but that's to be expected from any portable device.

The only bad point so far is the quality of the cameras, they work great for Skype, but they're not really suitable for taking photos or videos, as their quality is only that of a basic webcam, not a video camera, but for this price that doesn't really matter. Also, be warned, the device is compatible with 90% of Google services, I have Gmail widgets, MSN, Youtube, Google+, however Google Chrome is not compatible. This isn't the fault of Ainol-Novo, this is a problem with Google, hopefully as the device becomes more popular they will add compatibility.

I was able to get this device, plus earphones, a 32Gb SD card, a miniHDMI, a microUSB cable, and a leather case with a physical keyboard, for a third the price of an 8Gb Nexus 7 with no extras. The shipping was slow, it took 3 months from ordering to receiving the tablet, but for this price I can't complain.

I can't recommend this tablet enough, don't get ripped off by Apple or Google just because they're popular! (Posted on 12/18/12)

Great tablet for the price.
99% of apps work great.
only downside is no GPS or tethering.
was playing with an ipad at the weekend and was happy to get back to my fire. more expandable, nicer to hold, 2 cameras, oodles of free apps, great battery life, love it!
can wholeheartedly recomend.

I've already received my device and I'm very happy in overall. It's better looking than my old Aurora and has a very beautiful aluminum finish. The screen is great, does not has the corner problems of the old models and the working is smooth. It runs all the applications really fast.
I've got some problems with the market, to download some apps, but I've done it with the Chinese build in market without problems (the only one is understanding Chinese).
The only negative review can be a long wait, nearly a month from the shipment to the arrival. (To Spain)

Ainol must have upgraded the wifi antenna too, because I have signal at far greater distances from my base unit than ever before.

Micro USB input for power and connectivity. Separate HDMI out, 5 MP rear camera 2 MP front. Micro SD card upgrade that works blindingly fast with class 4 memory.

Recently purchased one of these after purchasing 2 Elf 2 tablets for the Kids. The Elf 2's were average, good for the money don't get me wrong but the Flame is so much more for just that little bit extra.

Haven't had it for long but the battery life is excellent and is a great travel companion. Plays movies and games without any problems. Very fast CPU, no glitches or hiccups at all. Screen is great, resolution and display is more than enough for a pad this size.

Overall I can't recommend this tablet enough for the price, you can't go wrong with this one. I've showed a few friends and will be purchasing more. (Posted on 10/18/12)

Sadly its slow and not that reliable. The screen suffers from pops and buzzes, and often reported fault. The battery performance is terrible with 5 hours of use or 24 hours on standby with only wireless running. Also customer service is almost non existent. I bought this tablet last week. It arrived in Mauritius in 2 days, that's very very quickly. Very fast running, very easy to operate and navigate. Its an excellent tablet and I would highly recommend it to any one who wants a very good tablet. One minor point is that it does not come with an OTG cable, I believe Ainol Novo should include one in the package but this cable is easily available on internet on some online stores and costs around 3 USD. This is my first Tablet and it does what I want it to do and more, for example, great photo's and video.
I would have liked an English instruction booklet (Ainol, will one be available?) to make things easier. However, I'm finding my way around the machine.
Just waiting for a mini to micro OTG to link to the USB keyboard case to the Flame.
Any problems? only 1, trying to keep my sons and grandsons off my Fire, they can get their own!
