This is my second Aurora II tablet that I have ordered from ainol-novo.com. I have been happy with both purchases. Once you update the Factory Firmware, the wifi and touchscreen issues are non existent.
With this update and the patch update, the tablet works great. Too bad ainol doesn't ship the tablet with this version installed.
The other item that I would like to comment on is the mini USB Keyboard case that is available on this website for under $12 works great. When I purchased my first Aurora II, I ordered the USB keyboard case that was supposed to be compatible, but wasn't due to the full sized USB connector. I tried a couple different USB - A to USB - B adapters, only to find out that I needed an OTG cable adapter. Finally got one and it worked, but very clunky. So, when I ordered my second Aurora II, I ordered (2) of the new style cases. I am happy to report, they both work great. I selected the DHL delivery both times when ordering my Aurora II tablets. Both times the delivery was AMAZINGLY fast. Well worth the price.
If you want a Kindle Fire HD for approx half the price, and you are willing to update your firmware, this is the best deal out there. Ainol-Nova.com is great to deal with. Highly recommended. (Posted on 10/31/12)

Very good spec and lovely screen. Fast response and excellent video play. A firmware was poor with many glitches untill I put in third party Android 4.04 rom. Firm should surely provide corrected firmware asap. Otherwise excellent. (Posted on 10/18/12)

I own several Android tablets including this one. The key for most including some of the better known American pads is the sofware. Best performance tends to come from thrid party ROMS found at developer sites. Flashing the ROM is very easy and makes the tablet faster and add to its overall performance.

To compare: The new Nexus 7 and Kindle are powerhouses but cost more and offer less features. Among them no SD slot. (Posted on 9/22/12)

First , quick shipping from Ainol-Novo.com. Thanks for the great service. Aurora II is a good tablet, quality build, feels good in the hand. Display bright and easy to see from sides. Excellent video quality, smooth and HD clear.. Easy to navigate,

I along with others have reported some WiFi issues. Drop offs and limited range, but Ainol is apparently working on this, new software has been issued.

I received my tablet late last week and it is a quality piece of technology. It takes a while to set up as there is no English manual. I have had some issues with the IPS automatically triggering when the battery is almost extinguished, but this is resolved with a recharge. I was also surprised by the number of Apps that the tablet is not compatible with. Hopefully this changes over time as new content/apps are released. Battery life is a bit of a question, but I am still getting used to setting the device up, so I am sure that I will learn how to manage this more effectively.

All in all it appears to be a great buy. Full HD movies look amazing on this tablet. (Posted on 6/26/12)

Ordered my Aurora II Friday evening, it arrived in Australia at my door Monday morning. Incredible service.
IPS display is excellent, scrolls through 5Mb photos very quickly and smoothly with very light touch.
USB computer connection is easy and fast, so is internet connection.
Can install most Android apps, but surprisingly quite a few are incompatible, including Fruit Ninja, and Angry Birds (but Rio is OK).
On first opening the package the screen seemed to be covered with many fine scratches but further examination showed that these were on a clear screen protector - this might be explained in the manual but there is no English version included,
An excellent buy at this price, and expedited delivery is worth the extra.
